I have been living in San Antonio all my life. I have always enjoyed the the friendly people, cost of living, and activities in and around San Antonio. San Antonio has always had very friendly people. It is in our culture to look people in the eye as they pass by and give a how are you nod or a gentle "hello." It is that southern hospitality seen all around town that makes me and others feel darn right at home.
Attractions in and around San Antonio
There are many attractions in San Antonio. There are a variety of attractions that would that everyone would enjoy. If you are the historical buff type, you can visit one of our country's national gems. Of course I am talking about the Alamo. Touring the Alamo will make any historian light up with joy. There is so much information in this tour, so make sure to plan a good portion of time for your trip to the Alamo. Also consider visiting the Spanish Missions in San Antonio. There are nice trails and history that you will enjoy.
If you are a sports fanatic you will like seeing the San Antonio Spurs basket ball team. We also have a minor league baseball team and a minor league hockey team in San Antonio that is family friendly. The baseball team are the San Antonio Missions. The hockey team is the San Antonio Rampage. San Antonio also has a USL soccer team named the San Antonio FC. As you can image, there is something for just about all types of sports fans.
For you thrill seeks, San Antonio offers places like Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World, I Fly, and Top golf to mention a few fun places.
San Antonio parks and recreation offers 140 miles of trails connected trough multiple parks throughout San Antonio. The trails are fun and relaxing while offering exercise and beautiful scenery.
Don't forget about our wold famous River Walk lined with fun shops and restaurants.
San Antonio is full of outstanding educational opportunities. Some of the state universities include University of Texas San Antonio, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and Texas A&M University at San Antonio. San Antonio in addition offers multiple community colleges in San Antonio. These community colleges offer great education at a lower cost. These communities colleges are also spread throughout town to make them more accessible to students all over town. There are also other great choices such as Trinity University, the University of the Incarnate Word, Our Lady of the Lake University, St. Mary's University, and many more.

Forbes.com list San Antonio as the number 27th city in job growth with an unemployment rate of 3.9 % in 2016. Forbes.com list Median home price of $ 215,100 and a population of 2.4 million. San Antonio is know to have a low cost of living in comparison of the rest of the county.
In summary, San Antonio is a great place to live. Its charming southern hospitality makes it very special. The city is getting bigger but, still maintains a small town feel. The cost of living is very reasonable. The educational opportunities in San Antonio are great. Fun and a great variety of great food can always be found all around town.
